How we calculate
How we compute the real cost
- The first term total plus the renewal price for the remaining months.
- Coupon codes are excluded; treating a discount as permanent makes the cost look lower than it is.
- Every line carries its capture date; if the renewal price is unknown we leave the figure blank rather than guess.
This plan is sold on a annual term only; no other length is offered.

Frequently asked
derived from dataWhat do I pay first for InstantSSL?
The provider bills the annual term upfront: the first payment is $35.99, which works out at $3.00 a month.
What happens when the term ends?
Renewal is $3.60 a month, 1.2 times the first-term price. We took that figure from the provider’s pricing page on 11 Sep 2026.
Why is this plan's data confidence 66/100?
66 out of 100: renewal transparency 25/25, renewal terms 20/25, price position 10/20, spec completeness 3/15, term flexibility 8/15. It measures how complete our record is, not how good the plan is; speed and availability measurements do NOT feed it.
